The KOA Life Vitamin C Lip Treatment is a $23 USD peptide infused, vegan, and “natural” lip product that is supposed to fade dark spots, smooth fine lines and “protect against environmental damage”.
I received a full size version of the Vitamin C Lip Treatment (10ml) in a recent Ipsy/Boxycharm box but the treatment is also available on the KOA Life website, as well as Macy’s.
TL:DR (Too Long Didn’t Read) on the KOA Life Vitamin C Lip Treatment:
- It’s lightly hydrating, but not as hydrating as most balms
- Fades fast on the lips
- My treatment didn’t have micro-beads (as described by the brand and on Ipsy’s website)
- It claims to do way more than the actual results
KOA Life Vitamin C Lip Treatment Product Review:
So I recently received a full size version of the vitamin C lip treatment from one of my Ipsy/Boxycharm boxes.
I was excited because lip treatments are super popular right now, and I like that lip treatments have a thinner consistency than most balms.
I love lip balms, oils, glosses, etc. but at night its nice to have something thinner on the lips sometimes…its all about variety!
Typically if I apply a balm or a lip sleeping mask at night, and wake up with super smooth lips! The KOA Life Vitamin C Lip Treatment does have that benefit, it’s nice as a light night time balm.
The KOA Life lip treatment is lightly hydrating, easy to wear overnight, but I don’t see all of the magical benefits that it claims to do.
I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks and maybe it would take more time, but I don’t see any visible changes to my lips.
It smooth fine lines, but in in a temporary way, like a standard lip balm would do.
My biggest gripe with this product is that I don’t actually get all of the benefits, like for example, the nutrient infused microbeads.
My product has no micro beads, and I’m not sure if that is a manufacturing error from KOA or if the product is actually close to its expiration date and Ipsy included it in its subscription box as a mistake.
Either way, I’m not impressed with the results versus its claims, micro-beads or no micro-beads.
Is the KOA Life Vitamin C Lip Treatment worth it?
No, I don’t think it’s really worth it.
The results give that of most typical lightweight lip balms or lip oils.
For $23 USD, it’s not doing anything special.
Im still excited about lip treatments and always happy to try vitamin C products. But, this lip treatment is a flop for me.
