I don’t think this moisturizer is a dupe, but I still enjoy using it.
This ELF Holy Hydration Moisturizer is one of an entire line that ELF Cosmetics has released under the ELF Skin line.
All of the products I’ve tried from the ELF Skin line have been really good. They are giving drugstore brands a run for their money.
TL:DR (Too Long Didn’t Read) on the ELF Skin Holy Hydration Moisturizer:
- It’s lightweight on the skin
- Has a neutral finish (not matte or dewy)
- Would be loved by all skin types.
- It has a really pleasant smell
ELF Skin Holy Hydration Moisturizer Product Review:
ELF Skin Holy Hydration Moisturizer is supposed to be a dupe of the Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer.
The Holy Hydration Moisturizer is not a dupe in my opinion, but it is a great alternative.
I go back and forth between the Drunk Elephant moisturizer, and the ELF moisturizer version, but there are some subtle differences.
The ELF Holy Hydration moisturizer is very smooth on the skin.
It has a very lightweight finish that is sort of neutral, it gives a lot of moisture without being oily.
I think it works really well under makeup, since the texture is so smooth and thin.
However, it’s not quite as smoothing as the Drunk Elephant Protini Moisturizer. That moisturizer also give the skin a slightly blurred finish.
The difference between these products is really texture and finish but they are both great in their own way.
I am able to use a lot of the Holy Hydration moisturizer, or just a little bit of this product and I have no issue with pilling or looking greasy at the end of the day.
Holy Hydration is a really nice moisturizer that I feel like confident suggesting to anyone with any skin type.
I would purchase it again just to have in my collection or to have in in my travel bag because I think the formula is really beautiful.
Is the ELF Skin Holy Hydration Moisturizer worth it?
Yes, it is such a good moisturizer. I’m actually shocked that a makeup company (a budget makeup company) can make such a nice product that really does rival the Drunk Elephant in terms of quality.
