This lip balm has a lavender shade that makes my lips look cold.
This Blistex Lip Infusion Revive Balm is one of, I believe, three in their lip infusion line.
Each lip balm has a different vibe to them. The “Hydrate” balm has Squalane and Hibiscus, and the “Soothe” balm has Cucumber and Calendula.
I chose this one because it has Ginseng and Chia Seed extracts to “revitalize” the lips.
One of my favorite Blistex balms is the Deep Renewal with SPF 15.
I’ve purchased it so many times, and I keep at least 1 or 2 brand new ones as a backups #obsessed
But, I didn’t expect for this lip balm to have a lavender shade that almost comes off as dead or cold.
TL:DR (Too Long Didn’t Read) on the Blistex Lip Infusion Balm in Revive:
- It has a weird grey/purplish color that shows up on the lips
- It is lightly hydrating, but not as much as their typical formula
- It has a really pleasant sweet scent.
Blistex Lip Infusion Balm in Revive Product Review:
So I picked up this Blistex Lip Infusion Balm in Revive from my local Meijer (grocery store) randomly.
When I got home, I decided to give it a try and was taken aback by the purplely cast that comes off on the lips.
The lip balm itself is lightly hydrating with absolutely no shine or visible moisture.
Not the most flattering look to your lips.
I kept trying to use the balm, hoping the purple color would wear down or that the moisture would increase but…nope.
This product is not usable for me.
If it was really hydrating, I would at least wear it under a tinted or colored lip gloss. But, its simply not a good balm.
Is the Blistex Lip Infusion Balm in Revive product worth it?
No. Save your money.
The purple/grey shade looks odd on the lips and the hydration isn’t there (its only slightly hydrating). Maybe one of the other Lip Infusion balms would be better?!
