You can tell this cream is fancy and expensive, but it’s way too heavy for my combination skin.
I’ve received the La Mer Moisturizing Cream a few times as free gift with purchase or samples for the past few years, and every time I try it, I’m always shocked at how much I don’t really care for it.
It’s a really heavy cream that feels luxurious, but it’s just too heavy for my combination skin.

La Mer Moisturizing Cream Product Review:
So every time I get a sample of the La Mer moisturizing cream, I try it just to see if I find a different way to use it.
The last time I received a sample of it, I’ve ended up using it as a hand cream, even though La Mer sells their own hand cream separate from this moisturizer.
I liked the moisturizing cream as a hand cream, but it was just too thick and heavy for my face.
Even now, a few years later where I’m starting to get a little bit more dry around my mouth area, I still don’t care for this cream as a moisturizer.
The drugstore dupe of the La Mer moisturizing cream is the Nivea Moisturizing Cream.
Both products are way too heavy for my skin and just makes me feel oily and greasy by the end of the day.
The La Mer Moisturizer Cream is a little bit more refined than the Nivea Cream.
La Mer’s formula is a little bit smoother than the Nivea formula.
I could wear it for a longer period of time without feeling as greasy and oily, but the end of the day, the result ends up being the same.
I don’t like feeling my skincare all day.
Is the La Mer Moisturizing Cream worth it?
No, it’s just way too expensive. It does feel luxurious. It is ultra moisturizing, but it feels heavy on the skin.
