The Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Mascara is available for $20 USD and is available on the Rare Beauty website, Sephora and Kohl’s.
I can’t remember where I picked up this Rare Beauty mascara, but the before and after pictures where they show results on fine/sparse lashes, thick lashes, and curly lashes is impressive.
I consider my lashes sparse and so I’m always looking for something to give my lashes definition, length and volume.
Of course, most beauty brands will say that their product does all of those things, and a lot of mascaras are good but not amazing.
TL:DR (Too Long Didn’t Read) on the Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Mascara:
- Formula is easy to work with and smooth
- There’s no flaking or smudging
- Feels very lightweight
- Easy to remove
- A good mascara, but not an amazing mascara
Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Mascara Product Review:
Rare Beauty has a lot of good products. I haven’t tried anything bad from their product line yet, so I was excited to try their mascara.
My favorite mascaras are typically from drugstore or luxury brands. Mascaras in that middle ground (ie. prestige brand) category tend to be good mascaras, but they rarely wows me.
The rare beauty mascara is advertised as a ” weightless eye hugging, lift, lengthen and curl and volumizing mascara” for all types of lashes.
This mascara is definitely weightless. I barely felt it on my eyes and so for that reason I reached for it quite often. I also think that it gave some lifting and volumizing and so I appreciated that.
I don’t think it’s the best mascara I’ve tried, and it’s also not the worst. It’s actually just a good product.
The Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Mascara is very easy to remove. That’s one of the other reasons why I reached for it often when I wanted a quick makeup look.
Some of my favorite mascaras give my lashes big volume, and definition but sometimes they’re a little harder to remove at the end of the day.
Is the Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Mascara worth it?
Yes and no. Yes, it’s a good mascara. It gave my sparse lashes some definition and some volume. It’s also weightless on the eyes and easy to remove.
However, you can get that same sort of mascara finish from a drugstore brand, so there’s really no reason to spend $20 on this mascara.
So yes, it’s a good product and I used it for the entirety of its shelf life. But would I repurchase it? No.
Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Mascara review rating: Good
