I jump at the chance to have any samples of Sol De Janeiro, so I was excited to try the Coco Cabana Cream as a gift with purchase from Sephora.
All of the Sol De Janeiro lotions I’ve tried are lightly hydrating and not oily, and have a yummy scent to them!
TL:DR (Too Long Didn’t Read) on the Sol De Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream:
- This hand cream is moisturizing, but not greasy
- Not moisturizing enough for full body use
- The coconut scent is strong
I am constantly applying hand lotion throughout the day, I hate having dry hands, so this cream works great for my hands during the day.
I typically use sample size creams (Coco Cabana can be used anywhere on the body) on my hands, because of the convenient size.
This cream is lightly hydrating but I don’t think its hydrating enough to use on my whole body. I prefer thicker lotions and creams on my body.
The only thing I don’t like about Sol de Janeiro lotion products is the tub packaging.
I am not a fan of sticking my fingers into a product, unless I am at home…because I’ve likely just washed my hands.
For this reason, Coco Cabana (and their other hand creams) are not products that I keep in my purse, or in my car, etc.
Sol De Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream Review Rating: Ok
Questions and Answers about the Coco Cabana Cream:
Is the Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana cream discontinued?
Yes, it seems that Sol De Janeiro discontinued the Coco Cabana scent around March 2023 which was confirmed via brand on Instagram (in the comments).
What does Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana cream smell like?
The scent is very coconut-y but not in a childish way.
The mix of coconut with vanilla and orchid give the cream a slightly warm scent that reminds me of a tropical summer vacation.
The scent in general is very strong though, so its not a scent for sensitive noses.
Is the Coco Cabana cream sticky?
Coco Cabana is not sticky at all.
The formula is lightly hydrating but dries down fast, with no oily, greasy or sticky finish.
