YSL Nu Lip & Cheek Balmy Tints

YSL Nu Lip and Cheek Balmy Tints

This Lip & Cheek Balmy Tint reminds me of children’s makeup.

I received a sample of the YSL Beauty Nu Lip & Cheek Balmy Tint with Hyaluronic Acid with a recent YSP Beauty order, so I tried of all three of the shades (although I lost one of the samples by the time I took photos).

This stuff is sort of interesting.  It’s a very, very light, balmy, hydrating sort of texture that you can easily apply using your fingers.

It doesn’t work well with any of the brushes that I tried, but overall the actual tint and color is very, very light.

TL:DR (Too Long Didn’t Read) on the YSL Beauty Nu Lip & Cheek Balmy Tint:

  • It is sheer to almost no pigment.
  • It’s very lightweight in texture but doesn’t show up well.
  • The sheer color fades to a clear balm after a few hours.
  • The clear balmy texture that stays for a while but doesn’t get greasy.

YSL Beauty Nu Lip & Cheek Balmy Tint Review:

The lightest shade, which is a peachy tone, didn’t do anything for my skin tone except add a glossyness to my cheeks.

That shade is too light for my skin tone, but the other shades are much better.

There’s not a lot of pigment in any of the 3 shades.

It’s a light balm, with very little pigmentation on the skin. Its not worth the $29 USD.

You could definitely get something that has a stronger pigmentation at a drugstore price point.

In terms of wearability, it gives a light sheen to the skin and with very little color and throughout the day it just stays that way.

That could be good, but since the balm lacks pigmentation, it sort of fades into a clear balm after a few hours.

I don’t think that’s very ideal for most beauties.

I tried two of the shades on the lips, and it honestly just looks like a tinted balm…something that you would get from like Burt’s Bees or any other lip balm brand.

Is the YSL Beauty Nu Lip & Cheek Balmy Tint worth it?

No, I think that it is missing the mark on pigmentation.

It doesn’t really dry down to a matte finish or a natural finish, it looks like a clear balm applied to the cheeks and stays that way.

To me, this product reminds me of kids makeup or like tinted play makeup.

Its not worth it at all.
