The Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50 ($16.99) is a popular Korean brand sunscreen. K-beauty brands are known to have really moisturizing, and seamless sunscreens, but they’re not always the best for dark skin. So, I wanted to give it a try.

Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50 Sunscreen Review:
The Isntree sunscreen has no white cast, which is something that I have never seen in an SPF 50 and is hard to do just in general. The formula is very thin and hydrating, but not oily or greasy.
The Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel is easy to incorporate into my current skincare routine. Even with a full face of makeup, I don’t feel any heaviness or greasiness from the sunscreen. Also, it didn’t add any additional skin throughout the day.
I have combination oily skin, and after 8 hours or so, I tend to get a little shiny on my forehead. But, the Isntree sunscreen didn’t add to my end of the day shininess at all.
Can you use the Isntree Sunscreen as a moisturizer?
There are some questions online about the Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel and whether you can use it as a moisturizer AND sunscreen.
Although the sunscreen is hydrating, I think the consistency is too thin to keep your skin hydrated all day so I wouldn’t use it as a moisturizer-sunscreen.
Some people are also asking, is the Instree sunscreen a chemical sunscreen?
Looking at the ingredient list, it is a chemical sunscreen using the ingredient homosalate.
The formula uses a few major sunscreen ingredients, then adds popular ingredients like the hyaluronic acid that makes it easy to blend, makes it good for dark skin with no white cast and gives your skin moisture.
Is the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid SPF 50 worth it?
Absolutely. For $20, this is an amazing sunscreen, something that you can use daily. Even after all day (8 hours+), I don’t see that I have additional shininess on my nose or T-zone.
I think this is a wonderful sunscreen for all skin types and skin tones.
