Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Line-Reducing & Dark Circle-Diminishing Vitamin C Eye Serum

Kiehls Powerful Strength Line -Reducing Vitamin C Eye Serum Review

Remember that time where you used an expired product? Yep, me too.

The Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Line-Reducing & Dark Circle Diminishing Vitamin C Eye Serum $59 (why such a long title?!) is a very thin, lightweight formula that dries down to a skin like neutral finish (meaning no shine or visible glow).

It doesn’t give any visible hydration to the skin, but I can feel it under my eyes.

It seemed to work well with makeup underneath, which is key for me as I tend to use my eye creams during the day and at night.

TL:DR (Too Long Didn’t Read) on the Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Vitamin C Eye Serum:

  • It has a very thin consistency, but not like a serum at all
  • Feels barely there under the eyes
  • Isn’t visibly hydrating (could be a good thing for some beauties)
  • Doesn’t have a weird vitamin C smell

Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Line-Reducing & Dark Circle Diminishing Vitamin C Eye Serum Review:

So I’ve had this keeled eye cream for a quite a long time, so much so that I think it kind of discolored a little bit, which tells me that I have had it for quite a while.

But, I didn’t even realize it was likely expired!

It wasn’t until I looked at the Kiehls’ website and saw that the product should be a creamy white shade. Oops!

So, take this review with a grain of salt.

Also, this product is called a “serum” but described as a “cream” and also feels like a cream…that’s odd, no?

Right off the bat, this Kiehl’s eye cream doesn’t have any sort of weird off putting smell, yay!

Sometimes vitamin C skincare products can be strong!

It has a very light, very faint citrus scent.

It’s also a very thin product, easy to apply underneath the eyes (no pilling or stickiness), and even when I put makeup on top, it doesn’t produce any additional creasing in my makeup, which I love.

Kiehls Powerful Strength Line -Reducing Vitamin C Eye Serum Review Swatch

If you’re looking for something that visibly gives hydration to the skin, this product won’t do that.

But, maybe the expired-ness contributed to the lack of visible hydration under my eyes.

This Vitamin C in eye cream is supposed to dimmish the look of dark circles in just 7 days.

A claim, I wish i could have tested!

Once I realized this product may be at or past its expiration date, I stopped using it.

So, I can’t speak to those claims.

I’m leaving this review for me to remember that I did try this eye cream, and I may need to go back to it or try a sample of it later.
